How We Intend to Beat The Covid-19 After Effects & Help Local Businesses At The Same TimeJuly 5, 2020
A different post today as we update you with what we have been doing in the background for the last 3-4 weeks.
We pride ourselves in getting our orders turned around quickly and waiting on your doorstep within a 5-7 working day time-frame.
For some of you, this simply hasn’t been happening and for us here at The Plant Stuff Shop, that’s unacceptable.
However, there is very little that we can do if our consignments to refill our stock levels are held up at the docks or customs clearance at the airport because of Covid-19 related issues, backlogs and reduced capacity.
This causes delays to us meaning that we are a little slower than we would normally be.
Additionally, when we have lovingly packed your orders and shipped them, our delivery partners in New Zealand, Australia, the USA, UK and mainland Europe are also experiencing delays. Again, this is something that we cannot factor for and have any control over at all and all we can do right now is ask you to bear this in mind prior to ordering or wondering why your tracking information is showing that your order is still sitting at your local delivery hub and hasn’t moved for the last week.
So what are we doing about this?
Whilst still looking to support our existing suppliers, we’ve been busy talking to new suppliers and finalising manufacturing agreements for producing our products in your country.
So NZ orders will be manufactured and shipped from NZ, Australian orders will be manufactured and shipped from Australia, USA orders will manufactured in the USA and shipped from the USA and so on and so on. I’m sure you get the drift!
Not only will that mean that our lead times will be significantly reduced, more importantly it means that we have embraced the opportunity to support local businesses in your country. In this current economical climate, that could make the difference to someone having a job or a business surviving and not going bust.
Our first agreement has been signed last week and we are working hard to roll this out across all of our range sooner rather than later.
We ask that you continue to support us! We still have stock arriving into our warehouse daily and have actually increased our orders to build up our own stock levels in the interim.
All we ask for is your continued patience. You’ve placed your trust in us in giving us your custom, please continue to trust in us that we deliver your order to you.
